WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Changes can be made for semi-flexible bookings 7 days prior to arrival. Changes cannot be made to non-refundable bookings at any time. Soz.

How long can I stay at cocomama?
For all our hostels guests can stay for a maximum of 7 days in a 28-day period.
IS COCOMAMA HOTEL LOCATED NEAR THE CITY CENTRE OF AMSTERDAM?
Cocomama is in the heart of the city. We're only one block away from the Albert Cuyp market, Europe's largest daily open-air market in the trendy De Pijp area. We are located 20 minutes from Dam Square and the Red-Light district. You can find more information from here.
DO YOU HAVE WIFI?
Of course. And it's FREE too. You have access to our free WiFi throughout the entire building.
DO YOU SERVE BREAKFAST?
Even superheroes need a break! Mama is taking a breakfast siesta. 😉
ARE LINEN/TOWELS INCLUDED?
Fresh, crisp linen is included in every room. We will even make your bed for you. (Yes, Mama takes good care of you). Towels are included in our private double rooms. If staying in a dorm, you can rent a towel from reception.
I FORGOT SOMETHING AT COCOMAMA. CAN YOU SEND IT BACK TO ME?
Really?? Didn't Mama tell you to always check your room before you leave? But to answer your question: Yes, of course. With pleasure. If we've found your lost item, we are more than happy to send it over to you. Shipping charges range between €15 and €25 (depending on weight, size, and delivery timeframe) when shipping to EU countries. For shipments outside the EU, prices generally vary between €20 and €40 (depending on weight, size, and delivery time frame). Contact us and we’ll get this sorted for you.
CHECK-IN/-OUT & LUGGAGE-RELATED QUESTIONS
CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE OUTSIDE CHECK-IN/OUT TIMES?
Cocomama is an old Dutch building, cute but it has the storage facilities of your nan’s house. If you arrive before your check-in time, its fine with us if you want to lock your luggage in your room already...but spoiler alert, it’s not clean yet! (so please don’t write a review about it 😉 ) If you arrive prior to this time, or you are checking out, we have a small staff room. You can use your own padlock to lock it. If you don’t have a padlock, you can buy one at the front desk. Ideally, you can use our sister property Ecomama which is nearer the Central Station! They have electronic lockers for use, just say you stayed at Cocomama.
WHAT ARE RECEPTION HOURS?
Reception is open from 9 am to 10 pm. Let us know if you are planning to arrive between 10 pm and 9 am. This is outside of our open hours, please note that there is an additional charge of €10 (for the staff getting out of bed 😉) for late check-in after 10pm.  
RESERVATIONS-RELATED STUFF
I WANT TO MAKE A BOOKING BUT I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD. WHAT NOW?
Please contact us. If availability allows, we’ll make your reservation manually and will send a payment link to your email address. The booking will non-refundable and will require an immediate payment.
Please be aware that Cocomama is fully cashless!
IS IT POSSIBLE TO REQUEST A SPECIFIC PRIVATE ROOM OR DORM?
Yes. It is possible to make a specific room request but we cannot guarantee the requested room will be allocated. We always try our best though, so it’s definitely worth asking.
DO YOU ACCEPT LARGE BOOKINGS?
Please note we do not accept bookings of groups larger than 6 people. If you decide to make a booking for your group anyway, we retain the right to cancel your booking without a refund. 
If you want to be sure to be accommodated in the room as your friends, check our availability to secure the whole dorm. Available for our mixed dorm of 4 and 6 beds.
CAN GUESTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 STAY AT THE MAMA’S?
Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult (18 or over). Guests who wish to bring their children under 16 years of age must book a whole dorm or private room. For guests aged 16 or 17 years of age, they can book into one of dorm rooms but must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or over). We do not have a maximum age…just 18-the young at heart! 😉
HOW TO GET TO COCOMama?
Simplest way by public transportation, Tramstop Stadhouderskade (metro 3,4,12) and Tramstop Frederiksplein (tram 7,10,) are located a one minute walk away from the hostel. TIP you can get a GVB travel card for €9 a day which will get you unlimited rides (if you tap in and out! 😉 ) on Metro and Tram only. Trains (eg: from the airport) are not included.
